Science Project

Andrew and I have been working on his science project that is due on Friday.  Well, I'VE been working on it A LOT!!!! He was able to help me with the experiment part but the rest of it was all me.  I've been typing and printing and placing all the info on the board.  Last night I made the chart and graphs and ordered the pictures.

I went to Target today for some retail therapy (after another ridiculous morning with my sweet 3 year old) and meant to pick up the pictures that were waiting but I forgot.  I actually only needed trash bags and the pictures but I got a starbucks coffee (decaf+vanilla+latte=YUM), trash bags, valentine socks, Chargers jersey (clearance) for Andrew, plastic storage containers, granola bars, cheez-its party mix, green works cleaner, pledge, hot wheels plate, a $5 clearance sweater for me, Valentine plates and napkins, and valentine boxes (for teacher gifts)....you know all the necessities!!!!  Actually the ONLY thing I NEEDED was trash bags (which I got) and the pictures (which I forgot).  I saw an I SPY book for the Tag reader on clearance for $9 b/c it had been opened and I was really tempted to buy it but then looked in my cart and kept walking!

Right now Andrew is in the other room reading a book to Grace about animals.  It's a book about zoo animals.  He is doing really well and I just heard him read the words "excellent swimmers." Also, "Sea Lions spend their time swimming and fishing and make a loud noise that sounds like barking."  He had to sound out a few words but he finally got to the end and got all the words correct except he had trouble with 'sounds'.  I can't believe how well he is reading right now!  I love that he loves to read and is doing so well with it!  He also had his first spelling test today and got 100%.

On February 15th, I'm going to start taking classes online to earn a certificate that I need if I ever want to teach in this state again.  I will take 4 classes (6 weeks each) and it will take 6 months to complete.  I'm sure I'm adding more to my plate than I should but I need to get it done just in case. Life will be busy with birthdays and summer and online classes.

Well, that's about all for now.  Think I'll go have some more girl scout cookies!

Take a deep breath, and before you know it, you will be on to something else....it is so great that he reads to Grace, and 100% on that Spelling test, might just need a special surprise.
