Home
I got home in time last night to see my kiddos for a little while before we all crawled into bed. Well, actually I think I crawled into bed before anyone else. The recovery this time may be a little harder but that's because I have to take some different meds this time because my body chose not to start the process itself. So, here we are in recovery mode and I'm feeling good. I got up and ate breakfast this morning (a first in about 3 weeks) and am moving around. My mom is here and helping out. David and the kids have a birthday party today so they'll be gone for a while and I can go back to bed and rest. Thanks for all of your kind words. The doctor has already found something that has to be done before we can even think about trying again and I have a check up in 3 weeks so we'll see where we end up. I'm thinking we will not go down this road again but time and tests will tell.

Life is Hard....... with update
Update: Surgery will be Friday at 2:30 pm.
I may share another post I wrote and saved but another day when it's not too hard to see. Tomorrow morning at 7:30 am I go for a pre-op for my third D & C. This is my 4th miscarriage since having my beautiful children. We weren't trying to get pregnant this time but were so excited when we actually saw a heartbeat a couple weeks ago. Then I got really, really sick (usually a good sign) and ended up in the ER for dehydration. I saw my doctor the next day and that's when we didn't see a heartbeat. I had it confirmed yesterday (Tuesday) and I will find out in the morning if they were able to schedule it for tomorrow, otherwise it will most likely be Friday.
The teacher I am supposed to sub for had her baby this week and I'm already behind on taking care of her class. A lot of people are depending on me and I'm ready to get there and have the distraction. I know many of you are asking why we would keep putting ourselves through this "hell" and to be honest, I have no idea why except we weren't trying this time. My doctor wants to do a lot of testing because I am now in a 'rare' category and have a very small chance of ever holding onto a pregnancy.
I didn't plan on even telling you guys or putting it out there but most of you are family and if you didn't care you wouldn't be reading my blog so you deserve to know where we are and why the last month has been hard. I'm terrible at keeping secrets.
While I was typing this Grace came in the room and asked, "Mom, do you know who IS strong enough?" I asked who? She said, "God!" I love her and her innocence and the fact that she said that just when I needed to hear it.
The kids don't know what is going on. We chose to wait to tell them, just in case. I'm so glad we did because they would have been devastated. For now, I just have doctor appointments and blood work. No big deal. They have doctor appointments also and they don't know how many times I've gone. They are usually with friends and are excited to be left there to play without any explanation.
Well, I've probably done enough damage here. Life is hard, but God is in control of this and we will continue to praise Him in this storm just as we have in all the rest. Thank you for your love and support.

My Mind is Spinning!!!
There is so much going on around here lately. Some I will have to share later when I know a little more. Andrew was on spring break last week and it wasn't very exciting. I was really, really sick so we didn't do very much. David took a day off to spend with the kids and help me out. We had a birthday party on Saturday which got us out of the house and the kids had a lot of fun!
Today Andrew went back to school and I think he was happy to have his routine back. He came home and immediately sat down to do his homework and finished all of it. We still have to put together the family project this week but we'll get it done. Maybe not until Thursday night but it will get done.
Grannylou will be here late Thursday night so when the kids wake up on Friday morning she will be here and they are getting really excited! Next week we have Grace's birthday party and her actual birthday is the day before Easter so I still have a lot to do with that. In fact, I haven't done anything for it. I know my mom will help me when she gets here. I've just had so much going on the last month that I haven't felt like working on it.
Oh, and I might start working any day. The teacher I am working for has an appt tomorrow (Tuesday) and she is worried that her doctor may take her off work. She is due on the 5th so it could be any day. I have a few doctor appointments this week so I may not be able to start until next week but we'll see what happens. I'm really hoping her doctor lets her work at least this week, but I know how miserable she is. We'll see. Either way, she'll be off 6 weeks after she has the baby so I will still have plenty of time to work.
OK, so I think that's it to catch you up. There is a lot going on and I have left a lot to the last minute (or week) but unfortunately that was out of my control. I have some good ideas for her party that won't take too long to finish, I just have to get busy! I'll show you pics next week!

Weekend and more
Last Saturday was Andrew's final basketball game for the winter season and we also had the team party on that day! David coached this season and I think he did a great job (even though some of the other coaches didn't want to follow the rules and gave him a hard time).
On Sunday we had a birthday party to attend for the kids' cousin. It was her 5th birthday party. The kids had fun and got some fun glitter tattoos (which are still hanging around!).
Yesterday Andrew brought home a very official looking envelope for Grace (really me) and it said Official Kindergarten Registration paperwork! I can't believe I am filling out kindergarten paperwork for my baby girl! What am I going to do with all my time next year? I guess I will be working to fill the time and maybe I can get caught up on my scrapbooks!
Today Andrew brought home his progress report from his math benchmark test and he got 100%!!! I am so proud of him. He has received 100% on all 3 benchmark tests this year and his teacher said this one was definitely harder than the others. He is doing so great in school. He brought home his report card last Friday and has mastered everything so far and is ready way above grade level. He just amazes me because his reading level for AR keeps going up higher and higher!
Andrew is on the left side of the picture holding the ball.
I love this picture of David kneeling with the kids in the final minutes of their last game. He was so proud of them and it was such a close game. We lost by one basket! Way to go Heat! They scored 30 points in that game!
The cupcake and trophy table
close up of trophy.....they are cool trophies if I do say so myself (I was in charge of ordering them)
The table set up. I made these frames for all the kids. They are a little old school but 5-6 year olds think they are cool!

7 posts
Wow, just saw that I have only written 7 times in 2012. I'm not doing so well in the area of updating. I have to go back and see what I have written about so that I don't forget. If I actually kept up on this, I wouldn't have that problem.
Today Grace has a dentist appointment and we have to get the kindergarten check up done. Really?? Kindergarten?!?!?! One month from today she will be 5!!!!!!!!!!!! Where has the time gone? I have been trying to finish her invitations and then have to start on a few decorations. Since the party will be at Chuck E. Cheese again (blah!) I don't have to do too much for it and the favors are going to be very simple. She has requested a Tangled (Rapunzel) party so I am giving out watercolor paints with a simple "thank you for coming to my party" tag. Guess you have to watch the movie to know why! I wanted a tea party this year with the rapunzel theme but Grace insisted on CEC again. In the end that's easier anyway since they do all the work. Probably costs me less also because I tend to go crazy if it's at the house. I'll add pics of some of the things I'm working on as I finish them.
I'm trying to slow down and spend less time running around and more time with Grace at home. She is really interested in reading and learning her sight words so I need to take advantage of it now and really get her going. She is doing great at math so we are going to start some writing and more reading.
Andrew is doing great and brought home another perfect progress report. Report cards are coming home soon. He has only had to turn his card a couple times in class for silly things. I'm so proud of him!
