My sweet boy and his best friend from church. We watched him and his twin sisters that are Gracie's age on Friday. It was a crazy day filled with sugar and screaming and tons of laughs! It was a lot of fun and hopefully we can all play again soon!
Here is my sweet boy on picture day! I took a picture of him before school just in case his picture didn't turn out ok or had a goofy smile but I was there when they took the picture and got to see it and it turned out very well! So glad I ordered the cd to make my own!
We've been busy around here. David had another phone interview today, this time with a company in Tennessee. Don't know if it will go anywhere so we are just waiting for something to come along. We would love to get out of CA but not sure if that is in the plan for us but it's something we are very interested in. Hope all of you are having an awesome week so far! It is really hot here and even hotter down the hill from us. Where is fall? Not here in So Cal!

Random
Grace built this tower and was so proud of it! She wouldn't sit too close to it b/c she didn't want to knock it down!
I walked in and found the kids applying tattoos on each other! When I left the room they were doing homework and coloring but it got really quiet!
At the parade last weekend! There were some random entries in the parade. Bands from our high schools and Jr. Highs, horses, tractors, fire trucks, trash trucks (really?!?), wolves and tiger cubs.....
I didn't get a good picture of the wolves walking by, probably because I was a little concerned about them walking down the street with all the kids sitting on the side of the road. Am I the only person concerned about that? Even at the zoo when they were exiting the stage with a wolf, someone from the zoo asked a mom to move her kids away from the railing b/c they were talking and they were afraid the wolf would react. Kinda crazy! Anyway, apparently they behaved since I didn't see anything in the newspaper. Hope everyone is having a good week!

This
This is how awesome the group of coordinators at my church are. We have about 15 in our group and they decided to love on my family today. Aren't they awesome?!?!
I walked into our meeting and saw a few bags of food and thought maybe I had missed a memo to bring food to donate for something and asked where it was going. I figured I had something in my pantry I could bring if they would have told me. I thought they left me out of that b/c they didn't want me to feel burdened and then one of the girls said "It's for you!" What? For me? They are such a blessing to our family. I know it may not seem like much but this is a group of 15 ladies (including me) and they came up with this! I am so thankful for God's love and the love he has shown through these ladies.
Tonight I get to attend a new (to me) bible study at church and we are doing a Beth Moore Study "Stepping Up" the psalms of ascent. I can't wait to meet my group and see some ladies I don't get to see often. I hope you all feel blessed today! There are so many blessings throughout our days but we tend to focus on the negative (me included). At 3 am Grace woke up with the stomach flu and I am so thankful that David was able to be home this morning so I could get Andrew to school and pick him up. I'm not thrilled that he isn't getting paid for being home but God is going to provide for us. Just look at what he provided today! God is good!
I couldn't believe how much there was. I had my hands full so a couple girls helped me carry it all out and when I start unloading everything I knew I had to have a picture. There were also 2 gift cards and some cash. I can't believe (although I can) how incredible and generous they were. We are so thankful to not need to buy anymore groceries (except milk and meat) for a while. Our pantry is stocked! God is so good! And here it is a little closer....had to take 2 pics!

Here We Go Again!
Well, last night was Family Movie Night at Andrew's school. I was supposed to help the PTA set up and get things going but when I got there they had set up earlier in the day and didn't need me.....you would think they would call or text and let me know since I was on a list but that's a whole other post!!!!! Anyway, David noticed a message on his phone and it was the staffing agency calling that he had been cut from the temporary position he was in. It was a temp to hire position and apparently his boss didn't like him. He was over qualified and very unhappy there anyway. Kind of a spoiler for family movie night :(
Today we are going to the parade here in town (it's our city celebration) and later we are going to see the fireworks. They have the best fireworks every year!
This last week I was able to help in Andrew's classroom 3 times! I love being in there helping and interacting! On Friday I only went in and made the booklets for the kids to take home and stapled the homework packets. Grace was able to go with me and sit in the classroom while I did the work but it looks like from now on she can stay home with daddy and I can go whenever I want. Andrew is going to stay all day for 2 days this week. We are working on getting him used to being there all day. I'm not really worried about him staying all day until closer to the end of the year so we'll start out with just a couple days. Well, enough rambling and I don't even have a new picture to put up. I'll work on that this weekend! Have a good one!

Still Here!
Wow! These last couple weeks flew by! Mom and I were so busy. Just taking Andrew to kinder everyday keeps me busy, but we were sewing and thrift shopping and decorating Andrew's bedroom. Actually Andrew's room only took 2 days. I learned how to use my sewing machine and made 2 skirts and 2 crayon rolls. Mom cut a bunch of material so I can make more crayon rolls. I'm hoping to sell some at a craft fair to help make some money for Christmas. If they don't sell, then I will just give them as birthday presents and Christmas presents. Here are some pics of what I made the last 2 weeks. No, it didn't take me this whole time to make them but it has taken me this long to post it! Oh, and a shout out to the grandparents since I missed Grandparents Day (again)!
Excuse my not so cooperative little girl! Not great pictures of the skirt but she refused to stand up and smile!
Halloween skirt. I'm going to make a shirt with her initial on the front out of the orange and black material. I'll put up a picture when she wears it that week!
Mom and I also went to Women of Faith but I didn't download the picture from her camera. My neighbor was so sweet to give us tickets, hotel, and transportation. She said she has been blessed with the ability to do that and we were so thankful for her!

Almost Finished!
It's almost completely done. Andrew won't have his quilt until Christmas but it's supposed to be a Christmas present anyway. I took a picture of it on the bed but it isn't completely finished. Mom has to add the backing and quilt it. She is also working on a bed skirt. We have a few posters to hang but here are a few pictures of what we have done.

Open House...painting...decorating....
Well we are working on Andrew's room to update it a little. He has had the same room decor since we decorated it for his nursery. He is beginning to get a little too old for it and we had too many different things in there like Thomas the Train and Nascar and Disney Cars. Now it is just going to be Nascar. Tomorrow we are painting the walls gray and his closet doors red. That is mainly because he wants a red wall and since his closet is most of his wall I think we are just gonna do it! Mom is making him an awesome quilt for his bed and she made a checkered valance. We aren't putting a border back up right now b/c they are so expensive. I'm just trying to make it look kind of like a garage with the black and white checkered curtains and quilt I don't think we'll need the border. We have some framed posters to hang up and mom also made a couple checkered flags. Here's where we are so far.......curtains and a lamp. Oh and the poster we framed hanging on the wall. We'll put it in a better place after we paint!
Here are pics of the kids trying to get the rest of the border off the wall. It came off in sections. First the picture peeled right off and then we had to get the paper and glue off and now we are scrubbing the wall to get it ready to paint.
He was so proud of his classroom and enjoyed showing us around! His 2 best friends were even there at the same time which made it better. I met the parents of the boys and the 3 boys always play together and talk about each other at home! I hear a lot about Denver and Chad and their parents said the same thing! There's been more activity around here that involves me and a sewing machine! I'll post again another day about that!

And now, the gift for Mrs. Green (a magnetic board) and a picture of Andrew with Mrs. Green at Back to School Night!

Back To School Night
Tonight is back to school night and I am way more excited than I should be! This is week 4 of school and I haven't been in the classroom except the first day which was just to walk him in. I'm still waiting for the board to clear me to volunteer (hopefully next Tuesday) and then I will be there as much as I can! I made his teacher a little gift....actually 2 because I changed my mind and I'm keeping one of them for myself! It looks good on my entertainment center! HA! Anyway, I'll post pictures tomorrow of the gift and of Andrew in his classroom! There's a lot going on around here and I can't wait to get pics up of all of it! We are redecorating Andrew's room (sorry, Dad, but the border came down!) and it's going to look so cute grown up when it's all done! No more baby room for him! I'm excited but it's going to be a sloooooooow process since we have to do all of this on a very small budget. I did score a twin headboard for 8.99 at a thrift store that I plan to paint! Pics and more details later!
