I should be doing report cards but instead I'm online reading blogs and now updating mine. The last day of school is the 30th and after today I am SO ready. A couple weeks ago we found out the teacher I took over for is retiring and I was told I would be getting the position. Well, today I found out the principal took a transfer instead. Sounds all too familiar to me. It's like he is saying I am good enough to teach somewhere, just not there. Looks like it's back to the subbing pool for me. I am very disappointed but as my neighbor reminded me...good things come to those who wait. Or something like that. I should never update my blog when I'm feeling so down. It's always depressing for everyone to read. I guess the plus side of this is I will get to spend more time with my kiddos when school starts. I will get to take them to school again and volunteer in their classrooms again which is something I haven't done this year.
I decided after I found out that I am taking off the morning on the last day of school to watch Grace in her kindergarten end of the year program. I've missed everything else and don't really want to miss it. I'm going to ask a sub that is very well known at our school and then I'll be with my little ones for the afternoon to give them their treats from me. I have individual candy awards to give them and crayon rolls that my mom made. I really just want to quit now and spend the rest of my time with my babies but I won't do that to these sweet kids that I have grown to love. Nor am I a quitter. Well, maybe with exercising but not with anything else.
Ok, I have to focus on finishing these report cards. They are almost done and it will feel so great to be completely done with them! I should be updating soon......in the meantime, here are a few soccer pics.
I made a collage for each player on Andrew's team. I can't wait to see what they look like after they are printed. David is picking them up right now! I spent so much time making them and finding the right pictures of each player. Tomorrow night is our team party and we will have them framed for each of the kids along with a goody bag.
Grace had her team party on Saturday afternoon. She was so excited about her trophy. She doesn't want to play, she just wants the trophy.
