Fantastic Friday

Today was a great day. The kids and I went to Target to get a birthday present for a party for Andrew's friend on Sunday. We picked up a few other things as well. It's almost impossible for me to walk into Target and get exactly what I went for. Then we went to the dollar store. I promised them we would so they could get butterfly catchers. We've had a lot of butterflies going through our yard and Andrew has been chasing them so our neighbor Stephanie suggested a butterfly net. She said she saw them at the dollar store so off we went on our adventure. I didn't make them sit in a cart so they touched almost everything, even the breakables. I was a little scared but at least everything is a dollar. If it breaks you buy it isn't as scary in the dollar store. Hehehe! Anyway, they were really good. No meltdowns. We got our butterfly nets...a pink one and a green one. You can guess who picked which color. We also bought another slinky...Andrew has one and they fight over it all the time. I just love the dollar store. I don't go nearly often enough. Mainly b/c I don't want to go to so many different stores with the kids. One is usually enough. It was a good day. They took late naps which means a late night but oh well. I tried to take a nap but the dogs woke me up again. So I got up and folded laundry and watched Grey's Anatomy. Well, this weekend will be super busy but hopefully I can post tomorrow. We are going to church tomorrow night b/c I am working all 3 services on Sunday. We also have a birthday party Sunday and I have to finish shopping for Grace's party so I won't be around all day. Then on Monday morning I have a training to attend for the church. I am actually going to do the childcare now instead of sit in on the training. At least that's what they told me on Thursday. It should be an interesting weekend. Have a good one and hopefully tomorrow I will have pictures of the completed garden for you.

Oh and I changed the settings to leave a comment. If you want to leave a comment you no longer have to sign in to do so. Sorry mom for putting you through the trouble. It's fixed. Enjoy! Can't wait to read all the comments!

  1. I Love to comment on my Grandchildren......thanks for making it so easy....I am sure I bore everyone but anyway that is what being a Grannylou is all about. I am also so proud of the way you keep us informed about Andrew and Grace. Love!

  2. Hi Melissa, we really enjoy your scrapbook .It is the next thing to being there. You have a special talent to be able to write about your family in a very interesting way. The pics of Andrew and Gracie are soooo cute. You know,my Mother told me that when I was little and she put me to bed that I had to have everything in bed with me also ,like Gracie. When I saw her pic in bed, it reminded me of that. ---You are a very good Mother and Wife .You always make time for your family and that is good. We love you all. Take care and be happy. Dad (PaPa Rick) and Kathy
