Today is going to be a busy day. If you ever pay attention to the time I put this up it is a little after 4 am. Grace has been up for a couple hours. Her daddy started out with her and now it's my turn. Anyway, I figured I would get this out of the way because I have a lot to do for the party. I am making all the cupcakes and side dishes for Grace's party. Plus, I have to clean the house sometime and David is having a guys night with the neighbor and some friends. They get together about once a month to play cards. It's good for him b/c he doesn't get away much. It's just that when David does get away it's usually the night before something big going on. This time it happens to be Grace's party. It will all get done, I just may be a little stressed getting there. I'm going to decorate the cupcakes with paw prints using thin mints and chocolate chips. If it turns out cute then I will post a pic for you to see. I didn't come up with the idea, found it in a magazine. Everything is pink and brown for the party. We are going to have strawberry cupcakes and confetti cupcakes with pink icing and then chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing to match my pink and brown theme. We rented a pink bounce house and I made some decorations in pink and brown. I'm excited but also sad that Grace is turning 2.
The weather turned cold tonight. In fact, it is down to 33, and when I looked outside at the cars the windows are frosted. I'm scared for my tomato and pepper plants. I wanted to cover them over night but I was in bed feeling rather yucky so it didn't get done. Hopefully I won't lose all that hard work. We'll know soon. I thought we were in the clear but in the back of my mind I kept thinking about how we always have one more cold spell in April. It's going to be a little cooler for the party. The kids won't notice because they will be having fun in the bounce house but the adults will notice in the shade of our back patio. Hope everyone dresses for the weather.
Well, I'll try to update after the party if I'm still functioning by then. I'll have lots of pictures to upload. Have a blessed day!

Hi Melissa, I just looked at the pics of Gracie's birthday party. She looked soooooo cute in her pink and brown. Your cupcakes and decorations were super. We liked our invitation too.She received alot of gifts and you could tell she really liked her tricycle. She is a doll and Andrew is a cutie too. She has such beautiful hair and I like the ribbons in her hair. She definitely looked like a 2 year old birthday girl. I wish we could have been there, but seeing the pics is the next best thing. Whatever she did not get for her birthday, you can purchase with the money we sent her,or at least, it will help you get something that you would like for her. You are very fortunate to have a husband that really spends alot of time with his children. I liked the pic with David in the bouncer. Clark and Angie had one for Maddy. Scott and Susie had a large slide. Those are fun for kids and keep them entertained. Talk to you later. Love Kathy
