So, yesterday the kids and I went to OSH. Grace had a rough morning so it took us a while to get out the door but we finally made it. I bribed them by telling them we would go get an icee before we went to the garden store. Of course Grace had no idea what I was talking about except that she was going to get something. Andrew was thrilled as his daddy just did this with him on Sunday. Once we got to the gas station and got icees and pretzels...(I don't go for Cheetos. I have enough mess and stains)....we were on our way. They were great at the garden store(OSH). I got my fertilizer. I decided against the fertilizer spikes I mentioned the other day b/c they will add more chemicals to my garden which I am trying to stay away from. I got an organic fertilizer and a lady that was there recommended it. Now, I don't know if this lady knows for sure that it is completely organic but she uses it in her garden. I am trying to learn everything I can about home gardening and using natural products but I'm a little behind. Anyway, I went with it but of course like everything else you are only supposed to use it on established plants. Well, I'm trying to get there but I thought that was part of using fertilizer. Whatever! I did buy some pest spray that is listed on the organic materials website. I still have to check it out to see how organic it is. I just don't have everything I need to make my own stuff. Each year I am going to try and get a little 'greener'. We'll see how it goes.
I've been reading a blog by someone that I do not even know and she calls herself MckMama. Her youngest son (5 months) has a heart condition and recently had a procedure done to try to correct it but today he is having complications. Apparently it wasn't corrected and it seems as if they won't be leaving the hospital for a while. They have already been there for about 5 weeks. Her husband and other children are in Minnesota while she is in Boston with their son Stellan. Please add him to your prayer list. Her blog is huge and hundreds are praying for him all over the world but a few more prayer warriors wouldn't hurt. She is getting frustrated, misses her husband and kids, and her own home and bed. She needs prayer as much as her son as she has only left the hospital to sleep and shower. Now she is thinking she may need more permanent place to live. If you want to visit her sight and read her story click here.
We went to church today for my bible study. Seems like forever since I've been there. It was awesome. The testimony we heard today was from a husband and wife and just so heartbreaking yet gave so much hope to those that may be struggling. We only have a few more weeks of this study, in fact May 14th is our last week. We went to JoAnn's after we left the church. Note to self: do not attempt JoAnn's with both kids after church. Not fun. They weren't terrible but there were too many people and as we all know...Grace does not stay in a cart or stroller. Even strapped in she can get out. So I didn't even attempt either. Enough said. Have a great day! Love to all!

Think it's about time for one of those dog harness looking things that go over the shoulders, tighten it across her middle and hang onto to the leash! lol
ReplyDeleteWe'll keep the other people in our prayers also.
