I worked in a new classroom at church tonight...with 5 year olds and I LOVED it! They were so sweet and calm. Of course I only had 7 so double that and it would probably be chaos but it was so much fun. I would definitely do it again if they need help.
It's been so hot here the past few days. It makes me so tired. Our dog Carbon hurt his foot yesterday. He ripped the toenail completely off his foot and it was bleeding. Today he woke up limping b/c part of the nail was still attached so off we (I mean David and Carbon) went to the vet. We had some medicine to sedate him so praise God we didn't have to pay for them to sedate him. They took off the nail and wrapped it up and sent him home with antibiotics. He is leaving it wrapped which is very surprising for a dog that chews the collar off our other dog. He must know that it makes it better. Do you think he will learn not to jump over the fence after this? Probably not...but I doubt he will try it for a little while and then he will forget the injury and it will start all over again. So the cool thing is the bill was about $103 and yesterday we got a check in the mail from the hospital for $100. (For a short while we had double insurance coverage and didn't know it so I think it was from that time). But isn't God so good. Now we don't have to worry about that bill. I still have to worry about possibly getting rid of Carbon but for now I'm not going to stress about it as much. If he doesn't stop jumping we will have to probably get rid of him b/c he jumps the fence even when we are standing right there.
The kids have been playing hard the last couple days despite the heat. Today they played in the pool and the water table. David had them busy all day and had them in bed before I got home. I haven't seen Grace since she went down for a nap today b/c she was asleep when I left and back in bed when I got home. I went to the mall to shop for a swimsuit before I went to church. It went surprisingly well. I found a suit and got it on sale with an extra 30% off. I think it was like $30 which is more than half off the original price. Yay for me (and thanks honey)! Overall, I think it has been a good day. I'm tired and going to sleep now. Up early for church in the morning....

Hi Melissa, Yes, you had a busy day Sat. Glad your dog is ok --teaching the little ones at church was alot of fun for you --Glad you got a new bathing suit --You will enjoy it with all the hot weather that you are having. Do your best to stay cool. (Andrew and Grace)have the right idea(swimming pool and water table --If I were you, I would live in the pool when it is that hot and stay cool in the house when it gets too hot outside. --It is really cool here. The last couple of days it has been like Fall. Right now, it is 69 outside at 10 in the morning. -I watched my little granddaughter Maddy yesterday while my son ,Clark, mowed his large yard. We had a ball. Maddy(Kilo-the dog) and (Patches-the cat) We watched a movie, played inside and out. Then, I took Maddy to McDonalds to get a Happy Meal. They have the little beanies in them right now. Emma got a dolphin and Maddy got a puppy. I also brought Clark and Angie one of their delicious brownies. Your Dad had a pan of brownies at home. He is working 7 days straight without a day off. He can't wait until Wed. to have a day off. --We got your thank you card. You are so thoughtful. My son, Scott's wife ,Susie, who lives close to Tampa, Florida is so thoughtful like you. My daughter, Katrena, and her family went camping in the smokies for vacation. (tent camping) They never thought about it turning cool like this. They may have ended up in a hotel. I sure enjoyed babysitting, my granddaugher, Emma last week. She is such a joy. I took her to see Ice Age 3 .We had a good time together. I st. the house and did things to help Greg out. I noticed he needed a few things so I went to the Dollar store and got a few items for him. I sent Chip and Nimfa flowers for their anniversary. I hope they liked them. They live in Jacksonville, Florida. I left a message for Scott and Susie yesterday. Katrena had Lucas and Megan bring us over produce before they left for vacation. (carrots, green beans, salad tomatoes and zuchini) .I also picked blackberries at Greg's house. --Today, I am going to just relax and read and watch alittle TV. until your Dad comes home. Sounds like a plan. Sometimes I like to go places and sometimes I just like to relax at home. How is your garden doing? We have several ears of corn on and lots of green tomatoes.I have picked 2 ears of corn, 2 green peppers, a few green beans, a few cucumbers, and a few zuchini. I just have the large tomatoes. I hope they turn red soon. We should be able to dig up the potatoes mid-August. Next year, We are going to have the garden twice as big. We had alot of produce in a small space this year. --I am glad that you got Andrew and Grace a swing set. They will enjoy it. By the way, I am soooo glad that you are coming home for a visit in October. We both can't wait to see you all and I know you will be glad to be home for awhile too. Have a great day today. Love, Kathy
