So, I was planning to do a Not ME Monday today but I am too rushed today. I noticed this morning I hadn't blogged since Thursday and I'm sorry to those of you that have been waiting. It's been so busy. Friday we finished up swim lessons...and they both passed. Of course, the teacher recommended that Andrew repeat level 1 which is fine by me. Hopefully next year he won't cry everyday.
Saturday, we went boating. David, Andrew and Papa Wayne went out at 6:30 in the morning to go fishing....but caught nothing. I think Andrew just thinks fishing is throwing your bait and reeling it in. Grace and I met them out there at 9:30 and Wayne left and it was just our little family that went out on the boat. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the water and sand. I will post some pics...hopefully tomorrow. Saturday night when we took the boat back to Wayne's I had to drive. I've never pulled the boat, just the trailer when I'm parking it so it was really different. Grace was crying and crying and just wanted her daddy next to her in the backseat, so David just coached me through the process. It wasn't too bad, I just drove really slow which probably annoyed all the people behind me. Oh well!
Sunday was church and then we went to Toys R Us to look at swing sets. We couldn't decide what to get so we came home and looked at them online and today we went and bought it. Except I had to go down to Fontana to buy it b/c it wasn't in stock here or where David works. Hopefully it will get put together soon.....
Today we had a birthday party at a regional park which was a lot of fun. Andrew and I were running through the water and he and another little boy bumped heads and the kid fell down. I tried to help him but his mom ran in and grabbed his shoe from me and took off really mad. I tried to apologize but she didn't care and just stood there and ignored all of us. I felt bad but my kid got hurt also and I wasn't sure how to handle the situation. I guess not everyone is as understanding. Then about 30 minutes later Andrew and a little girl from the party collided b/c they weren't watching where going and she ended up with a huge welt on her cheek. Poor thing. At least this time the mom was understanding. Apparently my kid is an accident waiting to happen to other people's kids.
Well, I guess that about sums up our life since Thursday. I'm going to download more pictures sometime tomorrow and I will let you know when they are online. Thanks for all the comments I got last time....much appreciated! I love reading them....

Don't you ever run out of things to do out there?! LOL
ReplyDeleteSounds like your on the go all the time!
Sounds like David needs to sit in the back with the kids and let you pull the trailer more often, so you can get more sure of yourself.
Too many kids in too small a space equals bumps and bruises. Fact of life. Some people just don't get life! Sorry about the little boy's mom being so out of touch!
Love, Dad
Hi Melissa, Glad all of you had a great weekend. Yes, you will meet all kinds of people in your life. (kind and not so kind). You just happen to be one of the kind ones and that is good. You must feel sorry for the ones that are not. They must actually be miserable inside and it probably had nothing to do with the actual incident. --It is a beautiful day today. I have the air off and the windows open (at least until this afternoon) I looked out at the garden and my little bunny was eating away at the clover.I don't know whether we told you or not,but next door, in the ground, there was 6 little bunnies nestled together with grass over them. We were so surprised. I thought they usually had their babies behind bushes etc. Our neighbor, Ben, put a small ladder over the nest so he would not mow over them. It was just by accident that he found it. Now, the bunnies have grown and have spread out over the area. I know bunnies get in gardens, but they are soooo cute.I put up a new bird feeder in the front yard and finally, the birds have found it. This time,I have song bird seeds to attract them. I also have a hummingbird feeder too. My dark pink roses in front are still blooming. So far out of the garden, we have had a few zuchinis ,cucumbers ,and green beans. We picked 2 ears of corn. There are alot of green tomatoes on the vine and corn and a couple of green peppers, but they are just not ready yet. Hopefully, we will have potatoes to dig up in August. How is your garden doing? Do you have any tomatoes turning red yet?I know I could fix fried green tomatoes, but I usually do not do that until the red ones are gone. I was surprised that there were not alot of zuchinis this year.We have had alot of heavy rain so that may be the problem. I fried a zuchini and gave my daughter- in -law ,Angie, 2 to make zuchini bread. I also have one to give to Greg when I go over tomorrow at 6 to watch my granddaughter, Emma.--Have a great day today with your family .Love, Kathy
