is already kicking my booty and it's only Monday! I have so much to do for school this week and I am working 4 days! Today was a work day and I am off tomorrow so I will have to do a lot of school work b/c I work the rest of the week. I'm super tired from today!
Grace took a nap at her babysitter's house so I may be up late with her and get some school work done. I really need a laptop so that I won't have to sit in this hard chair in my bedroom staring at the screen. At least on the couch I could get comfy and do other things like watch TV and the kids! But, I don't have a laptop and I don't see one in my future....although that would be a great birthday present David! It could get me through the summer since the kids will want to be out when it is nicer weather! I could just plop myself on the patio and work and have nice cold drink. I can see me now! It's a nice dream, isn't it!?!?
Today after school there was this little eye peeking into the classroom where I was and I thought it looked an awful lot like Andrew's eye. That's all I could see because it was a narrow window and he was barely tall enough to look in! I finally went over to check and his teacher had sent him to my class but I think he was a little intimidated to walk in. Poor guy! Even though they were only 1st graders, they were so much bigger! That's what I like about subbing in his school. I don't have any worries since he is right down the hall.
Well, as exciting as this is I will wrap it up for fear of boring you so that you never come back to see what we are up to. I promise I will find a picture for my next post. My camera battery is dead and I'm not even sure where it is to charge. I'll be back soon....and I know you are just dying to read my next post!

Hi Melissa, I am soooo glad that you are doing great in school and also happy that you are enjoying teaching also!! My sister and her husband surprised me this week with a check to purchase a laptop computer!! I was thrilled!! They just wanted to show their appreciaton for me helping. My sister got teary eyed and I did too!! What a wonderful gift. Your Dad is coming tomorrow!!!I am sooo excited!! We will be celebrating his birthday and our Valentine's day and Wedding Anniversary going out for dinner on Wed.and Thurs.with Martrene and Larry.Then,Heading home on Friday. (My sister is doing so much better!!)

I just read the comment you posted on my blog and thought I would respond here. Sometimes it's hard to keep updated .. now that you've got so much going I'm sure it will be extra hard for you. A laptop would be SUPER .. I love mine because if you go away for the weekend .. or a week .. you can take it with you and not miss out on anything!! And like you said .. you can sit outside and watch the kids and still be pecking away on the keyboard .. Woooo Hoooo!! I have no doubt you will be getting one and I hope it is sooner rather than later .. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite time to yak is when I'm having my first cup of coffee in the morning but now that I've signed up for the early classes at the Y it is getting a bit difficult so I need to get myself into the habit of evening visits and be happy with it .. LOL!!
Whatever you're doing today .. teaching others or teaching yourself .. or maybe you're just taking it easy today .. (which I doubt .. LOL!) .. take a deep breath .. relax .. and ENJOY!!!
