I wore my green today but it wasn't lucky for me! Maybe the leprechauns knew I didn't make something green for the kiddos for breakfast. Doesn't lucky charms count? Or, maybe because I was a slacker and didn't make goody bags for Andrew's class like I had planned. I found an adorable idea that had chocolate coins in the bottom of a bag with rainbow twizzlers and a cute tag that said something clever. There's always next year! Of course, maybe because we didn't have even have dinner so forget making something special to mark the occasion! It was just kind of a rotten day and I'm thankful that God is giving me another chance tomorrow. I could really use a better day tomorrow and a chance to be a better mom and wife. I'm sure I could be a better friend as well.
I got upset with the photo people at Costco (which was the last thing I attempted to do today) because they wouldn't let me have the invites for Grace's party because they have strawberry shortcake on them. I got very upset and was kind of rude to the ladies working. I wasn't just upset, I was really really mad! So mad, that when I left (hastily) I started crying in the parking lot! It's not like I am selling these things! I'm just inviting people to a party! I worked on the dumb things for over 2 hours today trying to get it just right! Anyway, I came home, found the dumb copyright info they want and called to make sure they still had the invites. They asked if I wanted them to keep the invites so I could look for the info and I told them I didn't really care what they did with the invites! The rule is stupid! Well, while I had the girl on the phone I also apologized for my rude behavior. It's very unlike me to be rude to people that deal with customers all day long. They get a lot of crap throughout the day and I make it a point to add a little sunshine to their day by being polite! Well, today wasn't lucky!
That's part of my unlucky day and how I redeemed myself. I'm pretty sure I should act this way to my family more often (not the ugly part, but the apologizing part). So, here's to tomorrow and having a better day! Oh, Grace and I will be going back to pick up the invites in the morning! Now I have to show my face again. I sure hope someone else is working.

I read on Facebook that you also burned your hand on a hot glass lid .. it really was a bad day for you!! As far as the rudeness .. I think we've all done that some time or other when things have gotten really frustrating. At least you are not one of those people who is always rude .. we have a couple of those who come in our store .. they never have a good word to say .. as soon as they walk in the door we know they're going to do some "barking" before they leave the store. Those are the ones that I usually make an effort to TRY to get them to be just a little bit friendly .. at least coax a small smile out of them. Who knows .. maybe some day they will walk in the store with a smile on their face instead of a frown .. I can always hope anyway .. LOL!! Maybe tomorrow you'll be able to look back and see the humor in the situation .. especailly after you've been back to the store and given them one of your dazzling big smiles.
