More gardening

Hey everybody! Yesterday was really busy. We went to church which was awesome. Of course it always is. After, we went to the mall and let the kids play at the play area. We also took their doll strollers and let them push them around the mall. Yes, Andrew has his own. Yes, his daddy is fine with it. Yes, they pushed them the whole time. I only had to carry Grace's at the end b/c she was soooo tired and her daddy was carrying her to the car. They were really good at the mall. I finally got new sunglasses. I broke them about a week ago. Actually I think I broke them the day of Grace's party. It's hard to be without sunglasses here. We don't have many cloudy or gloomy days. Makes me feel bad for the kids b/c they won't wear their sunglasses all the time or wear hats to keep the sun away from their faces.

Last night I worked in the nursery (actually I do that every Sunday evening) and we had 11 babies. It wasn't too bad just incredibly busy and constantly moving around.

This morning we went outside and worked in the garden before we even ate breakfast. I put straw around most of my plants. It looks really ugly right now but once they get bigger it won't be as noticeable. My strawberries are struggling but I'm determined to make them survive to I am going to get some fertilizer sticks....I have no idea what it is since I am still new to all of this but I am going to try and see if it helps. I'm really bad about using fertilizer and storing it so these may be better since I just replace them when it's time instead of having to go find the box that probably got spilled somewhere or left out and got wet.....I told you I'm really bad with stuff like that. I'm also thinking about starting some strawberries in containers and ripping out a few of the current plants and planting pumpkins. Doesn't that sound like fun? David didn't jump in with the same enthusiasm but I think it sounds like fun. Growing our own pumpkins to carve.

Well, we shall see what happens in the garden area. I will definitely keep you posted. I have a few cucumber plants sprouting but no green beans. The cold may have gotten to them. I'll just plant more if I have to. Well, that's all for now....have a wonderful, blessed day! Love to all
