Already another week has gone by. On the 2nd was my birthday....29, again! David went and got breakfast for me (and the kids) and they all gave me presents, pictures, and cards at breakfast. Then I went to school and had some friends bring me some special treats. A friend brought me some shirts and a Hobby Lobby card and another dear friend brought me a Starbucks Frap. My students brought some surprises and cards. I took popsicles for after lunch for my whole class. Then I had a doctor appointment. Not exactly what I wanted to do for my birthday but it had been rescheduled from a couple weeks ago and was my post-op appointment. It ended up not being so great. I'm fine but I found out my doctor is leaving and moving to the East Coast. I finally found a doctor that I really like and that was willing to help me and now he's leaving. I was so devastated because it's like another door slammed in my face and it feels like we have no chance of adding to our family now. David and I had a nice talk over dinner at Olive Garden. We were talking and I was struggling and then our server walked up and of course, she was pregnant! I lost it and David asked if I wanted someone else but it's not her fault. Overall, it was a really good day. The day had a lot of ups and downs but it ended well.
I just finished week 5 of teaching which means I only have 1 more week to go. I'm a little sad about that because I have really enjoyed my time teaching full time again and getting to know the students. This week was teacher appreciation week and I received several flowers, fruit, notes, and presents.
Tomorrow is t-ball pictures and Andrew came home with pink eye. It came on really fast and his eye was hurting really bad. Thankfully we have drops from the last time he had it. He is holding a warm cloth on it and we'll do drops at bedtime again. I'm hoping it will be less swollen and red tomorrow morning for pictures.

ReplyDeleteA man was telling his pastor all the things that had gone wrong in his life in the last week.
ReplyDeleteThe pastor told him," Not to worry, God will give you more burdens than you can carry," to which the man replied, " Pastor, I wish HE didn't trust me so much!"
Put your faith in HIM like you always do. Yes, the burdens may weigh heavily, but HE will help you carry it. Sometimes, our idea of whats best for us differs from HIS. All will be all right!
Sure hope Andrew's eye was looking good for his team picture! At least he didn't go to school wearing a white t-shirt on picture day!
(His Papa Rick did though in the second grade! Grammy was so mad!!!!!!)
Love to everyone!
